Haryana chief minister announced the formation of Gurgaon Municipal Corporation (GMC). He, however, did not specify the time frame of creating the GMC nor did he disclose the jurisdiction and administrative set up of this proposed civic body Gurgaon currently has a municipal council only for colonies from the old town and from a couple of HUDA sectors. Privately developed colonies are not the part the municipal council at present.
