List of documents for NRI
1. Passport & Visa duly stamped (All pages).
2. Address Proof (Local & Abroad).
3. PIO Card (Person of Indian Origin).
4. One Photograph (Signed).
5. Appointment Letter or Contract Letter.
6. Salary Slip or Pay Slip or Wage Slip or Salary Certificate with deductions for the last three months (Original or photocopy with official stamp).
7. Credit Report
8. Income Tax Returns for the last two years.
9. Last Six month salary credit bank statement.
10. Last Six month NRE/NRO bank statement.
11. Obligation Details (Sanction Letter & EMI Credit bank statement for the last six month) if any.
12. Local Power of Attorney in the prescribed HDFC format.
13. Processing fee cheque from NRE/NRO a/c. only in favor of HDFC Ltd.(Amount will be Rs. 5000 + 12.24% service tax i.e. INR 5612/-).
14. Property Papers.
If the property is in joint name the bank needs the following papers of the co-applicant:
1. Passport & Visa duly stamped (All pages).
2. Address Proof (Local & Abroad).
3. PIO Card (Person of Indian Origin), if any.
4. One Photograph (Signed).
All the documents have to be self attested.
